Oxygen cutting short, and body aching him to slow down his pace, the young photographer ran through the busy crowds of Hellsalem’s Lot. He was five minutes late! The other Libra members trusted him with the task to become the new member’s tour guide, and he was already late!

“Crap!” Leonardo cursed under his breath as he squeezed between two monsters. It was not even him who had the responsibility at first! Zapp dropped it on him saying he was too busy to be a guide for an old geezer.

Finally reaching the entrance of the biggest park in Hellsalem’s Lot, Leonardo hunched forward as he grabbed his knees to catch his breath. He would make Zapp pay for dropping this on him last minute, literally. Straightening himself out, Leonardo looked left and right for any sign of their new member.

Who exactly was he supposed to look for? It was not even specified it was going to be a male or female. All he knew was the person would be Japanese.

‘Japanese, huh?’ He scratched the back of his head. That did not help at all. Many tourists from many countries came to Hellsalem’s Lot – who knows why – to see the “unique” culture of humans and monsters co-existing as one. Walking towards the main fountain in the middle of the park, Leonardo felt a jump on his shoulder. Looking to his right he noticed the small white monkey with big eyes also on the search. “Oh, Sonic, you came, too?”

The small monkey nodded as he continued his search.

A small chuckle escaped Leonardo’s lips, “let me know when you find them.” His search resumed as walked closer to the fountain’s edge. “That is if we ever find them…”

Another tap on his shoulder made Leonardo look at Sonic before noticing the monkey’s finger pointing to his left. Raising a brow, the young Libra member noticed a woman with black hair up in a high ponytail wearing a black pencil skirt and  white blouse standing a few feet away.

Leonardo immediately jumped the moment her cerulean eyes met his closed ones. Taking in her beauty, and then her smile, he felt his cheeks burn slightly.

“Good morning.” The woman greeted as she made her way to him. “Are you perhaps a Libra member?”

Confused, Leonardo wondered how of all people in the park she asked him. “U-Um…yes, b-but how did-?”

The woman’s eyes landed on Sonic before they came back down to meet Leonardo’s confused expression. A smile made its way to her lips; she shrugged. “A hunch.”

Hunch? What did she mean by that?

Leonardo’s gaze dropped to her hand.

“Higurashi Kagome.” She introduced herself with the same smile. Taking a letter from the folder under her armpit, she handed it to Leonardo. “I was given this letter by Klaus-san; I was instructed to come and help Libra with the rise of the demon race here in Hellsalem’s Lot.”

Taking the letter into his hands, Leonardo opened it up before reading the contents. There it was, Klaus signature at the end. He was specifically requesting for Kagome Higurashi. Coming up to see her, Leonardo’s cheeks reddened as he took in her glow once more. She was a beautiful woman.

“A-Ah! W-Welcome to Hellsalem’s Lot, Higurashi-san!” Leonardo stuttered.

Chuckling at his nervous state, Kagome nodded. “Thank you, um…what is your name?”

“M-My name is-”

“Well, well, if it isn’t Leonardo-kun.”

Both the boy and Kagome looked behind him to see a group of three monsters with three eyes and tusks coming out of their purple skin standing with a smirk. Their eyes glowed with hunger for trouble; Leonardo jolted in his spot upon reading their intentions. He gulped as he took a step back in fear of what today would bring. It was now the fifth day in a row they were coming to pick on him and steal his money.

He was completely broke!

The one in front of the group chuckled again as he followed Leonardo’s step. “How much did you bring today, Leonardo-kun?”

“I-I don’t have anything-!”

“Don’t hide it from us!” He shouted, making the young teen jump again. The monsters blinked in unison the moment they saw the young slender woman in business attire standing in front of their prey. “Oh?” His smirk grew. “My, my, what do we got here?”

“H-Higurashi-san?” Leonardo whispered, wondering what their new member was doing coming to face his bully. “P-Please stand back!”

“I’m sorry, but I don’t think my friend here feels comfortable around you.” She spoke, and it was no lie. The moment they had appeared, Leonardo’s aura flared and trembled. Whoever they were, they were not friends.

“Miss, are you new in the area?” His brow rose to match his disgusting grin.

“Yes.” She replied.

“Well, why don’t I give you a tour-?” The moment he took a step forward, he blinked as soon as he met an invisible wall. Blinking – along with his group behind him – the monster looked up and down to find any sign of what had stopped him. “What the-?!” Their eyes immediately widened upon seeing the pink barrier slowly appear with a few “invisible” arrows popping out and pointing at him from the same barrier. What the heck was going on?

Kagome’s smile reappeared, “I already have a tour guide, thank you.”

Before he could object, the monsters found the arrows trying to escape from the barrier and aiming at them. They gulped in unison before giving Leonardo a glare and walking away with curses under her breath.

Turning around to her tour guide, the miko nodded. “It seems like you will have to show them later how strong you really are.”

If he wanted to blink, he would have, but deciding to keep his eyes closed he only wondered what she meant.
