“Huh…why is an important person like this coming to Hellsalem’s Lot?” Cerulean eyes rose from the paper in front of her to the leader of Libra standing up from his seat to hand Steven another collection of paperwork.
“We don’t know the details, but China’s prime minister wants to talk to our government.” Klaus explained, head turning to the miko who continued to read and flip through her given mission. “It is best we do not know the details of their meeting, but if any trouble comes up while he is here, it is our duty to protect him.”
Scoffing under his breath, Zapp shook his head. “Since when did we become babysitters?”
“Zapp-san,” Leonardo sighed as he lowered his own file to see the bored look on his partner’s face, “we do this thing all the time.” Babysitting important people like this was becoming troubling for all of them, especially with the rise of crime in the area. It was not a difficult job, but more so tedious.
“Higurashi-san.”
Attention back on Klaus, the miko blinked.
“Since you will be doing most of the talking with the prime minister, I decided you will be going to the airport to pick him up and escort him here.” Grabbing the folder on his desk, Klaus read it over, “Steven will accompany you for extra security.”
“Huh?!”
Heads turned to Zapp whose jaw dropped open with a glare.
“Steven and Kagome have been partners each time for missions, Klaus!” Zapp argued as he pointed a finger at the two. “Mix it up!”
Kagome and Steven blinked at each other in confusion before looking back at the fuming male.
Raising her brow, Kagome wondered what had given Zapp a bad itch. “Mix it up? Why now?”
Making eye contact, Zapp’s cheeks reddened before his head swiped to the other side. “Nothing in particular, just tired of working with Pubes Head here.” Pointing at Leonardo with his thumb, he ignored the other stares of confusion glued on him. He just hated how he never really had any time to talk to Kagome since she first joined Libra, especially with most missions having her and Steven teamed up. At one point, fans believed they were a couple, and boy did that irk him. Did he like her? Not really? But he would admit she was attractive, but then again, why did he feel so annoyed each time the two spoke?
“I don’t mind.” Kagome spoke, as she turned her head to Klaus, “but only if you actually work, Zapp-san. Leonardo-kun tells me how you leave him to do everything all the time.”
“Huh!?” He exclaimed before his head turned to the boy beside him. Locking his neck under his armpit, Zapp growled. “You told on me?!”
“Z-Zapp! L-Let me go!!”
“Do you mind the switch, Steven-san?” Kagome asked.
Shaking his head with a smile, he shrugged. “I guess we should be trying new teams. Doesn’t hurt to see how each of our skills partner up. Very well, then. Zapp and Kagome will escort the prime minister here.”
Grip loosed on Leonardo’s neck – and letting him drop to the floor – Zapp smirked. “Alright!! Team Zapp is on!” He would show Leonardo and Chain Kagome was not out of his league!
I love this man, and like other anime, I don’t know why it took me so long to watch this. I just picture a jealous Reigen when Mob is going to Kagome for spiritual advice rather than him. I am eagerly waiting for season 2!

The fact this man is voiced by the same voice actor as Sebastian Michaelis from Kuroshitsuji makes me laugh. I immediately recognized his voice! But with Kagome already having experience dealing with demons and such, Kokkuri would find her a challenge and mystery to figure out.

Okay, I didn’t think I would become attached to his character, and the more I watched this anime, his whole story hit me. I CRIED! But the humor made up for it, and one of my favorite things about this character his many emotions being shown through the change of color of his face. With Kagome, she would just make sure he was doing his job as a teacher and not teaching them lewd things. I think I’m gonna go rewatch this…

Don’t kill me, but I have yet to watch season 2, and I am salty that Netflix didn’t get it on their hands (yet). I don’t read the manga, but I did hear it gets good after where season 1 left off. Now Meliodas, it was a character I had to grow to liking because of his perverted ways, but in time, I did end up liking him. I think I just have yet to see him more in action!
Have I mentioned that Barakamon is on my top 10 anime? This anime is just wonderful, and I don’t know why it took me so long to watch it. The characters, the setting, the music, and development is amazing. Seishuu is also one of those characters you can’t help but shake your head at, but also want to hug because he is legitimately trying to do better. I just picture him needing the independent Kagome to show him how to handle house chores and with her ability to connect with others, Seishuu would need that.

Huh…never thought of this, but now that you brought it up, I am interested. I would have to re-watch the anime to see how I can connect Kagome and Wamu together. I do see a lot of Kagome in Miki so it would help with this pairing in terms of ideas.

Bless your heart for knowing this webcomic, and asking about Ian. I absolutely love this man, and my gosh, he has been through a lot. Have you caught up?! Like I don’t know what to think! Hmm, Siren’s Lament hasn’t presented itself much in my inbox so hopefully I will get more opportunities to work with this series and Inuyasha.

This man is beautiful! I absolutely love him and his maturity. Maybe that is why I got attracted to him? I immediately thought of a one-shot with him and Kagome, but who knows when I will be able to write it…just wish this series was loved more.

How come I had a feeling you would be requesting him sooner or later? I was really happy to see he had an episode dedicated to his skill and his character in season 2 (which season 2 was tastefully done), and it shows his gentle yet angry side. I love Zed and sometimes I want to beat Zapp for picking on him (then again, Zapp picks on everyone and deserves Chain’s abuse). With Kagome, I think Zapp would be picking on her because he is jealous Zed was able to get her first he-he.
If there is something the other Libra members do not get, is the comfortable silence Steven and Kagome share when they are doing paper work or simply resting.
Zapp gets awkward about it, but does admit he doesn’t sense that between the two.
Which later he begins rumors that they are dating.
Steven has only ever drank Gilbert’s tea every morning, but when Gilbert couldn’t come in, he noticed a cup ready for him on his desk.
Hesitant, Steven tried it and was surprised by how well it was made.
He still doesn’t know the person who made that special of tea for him.
Kagome once touched Steven’s hands and immediately pulled it back once she felt how cold he was.
Steven apologized, but found himself being warmed in her hands when she grabbed them.
Kagome: “the irony of how cold you are, but what a warm person you really are.”
Those words is what undid Steven.
Does this man have the utmost respect for Kagome.
He respects her both as a fighter, woman, and human being.
He was hesitant at first to have one of Taisho’s Corporation’s employees to help with the rise of demons in the area, but after witnessing her abilities, he knew there was a reason why Sesshomaru had recommended her.
